Cookies

Today I baked chocolate chip cookies for my family.

It was fun to see their excitement at the thought of fresh, warm, yummy cookies.

The ten minutes it took to bake them were an eternity for them, but finally they had the results in their mouths and tummies.

Once again I have to thank my church family for being able to do this.

Along with several freezer meals someone thoughtfully put in some frozen dough balls that I could pull out at any time and make a little treat.

We are having another freezer meal for lunch, and Dustin is pulling out the grill for supper.

My only stress these days for meals is to remember to pull them out of the freezer in time to thaw - something I forget all too often. :-)

The house is still being cleaned once a week by Dustin's grandma and aunt, as well as all the clean laundry folded and put away.

Every Tuesday some precious relatives bring a hot meal.

Every Wednesday another precious lady brings a hot meal.

I look at what I have written above and realize how blessed and loved we are.

Life may be difficult and joy a little hard to find, but tears come frequently as I think about how God is taking care of our little family.

Thank you to every single one of you who has made our lives a little easier.

Praise the Lord for that thoughtful woman who made frozen cookie dough for you! I was wondering how you managed to make cookies.

It's like the widow's mites. Sometimes people think the service they give isn't really that big of a deal, after all, it's only a meal, a loaf of bread, etc. But, here, this dear saint, and all the others included in giving their gifts of service, may think it's not that much, but are causing much praise and glory to go up to the Lord by many, many people.

Little is much, when God is in it. To the healthy, making a meal isn't a big deal. To the not-so-healthy receiving the meal, it's a HUGE deal. May the Lord bless those who bless you. I am so very, very thankful.
